Ensiferum, Orphaned Land, Spellbound, Noise Forest - 22.04.2006 Siegen / BlueBox
It was at a sunny saturday at Siegen´s Blue Box when we had to indulge in loud metal at the behest of Ensiferum`s Petri.
Yet long time before doors open there was a huge croud at the location so that this event became sold out at this evening. No wonder when such big names as Orphaned Land and Ensiferum enter the city of Siegen ...
After a short time of waiting Petri came to welcome the team of Visions Underground one by one. This welcome procedure had as a consequence, how could it else bei at editors, a little longer ( ;-) ) talk in front of the venue. And the consequence of this was that we had to transfect our spies into the BlueBox to get some details about the first band of that evening.
With their Thrashcore Noise Forest started to make the crowd go insane. Therefor in the first rows there were many heads shaking.
In any case it was funny as well cause frontman Owe Koch gave away a CD and then asked for the phonenumber of the fan whom he gave the CD for the whole band meeting with him to drink some beer. Owe also made it perfectly to make faces. The audience honored the gig with the first moshpit of this evening.

As already at Noise Forest once again the fans builded up a moshpit. Unfortunately the sound wasn´t one of the best but also this fact gave no bad influence for the good mood in the venue. Of course the main focus was on the band´s good album „Incoming destiny“
After a short break it was time for the desperately awaited israelic heroes Orphaned Land. And as they were so desperately awaited they started with „Ocean Land“ to make the fans in front of the stage go crazy. Then the songs „El Mèod Na`ala“ and „The Kiss Of Babylon” followed.
Due to the immense movement in front of the stage and the unavailiable photopit I beg you to excuse the quality of the photos I´ve taken. Worth mentioning is frontman Kobi Farhi and not to forget guitarist Yossi cause he acted very agile and steadily was seeking for contact to the crowd. After „Of Temptation“, „Birth of the Tree“ and „Halo Dies“ a song followed which was very well fitting to the singer´s Jesus-outfit, namely „Amen“.

Setlist:
Ocean Land
El Mèod Na`ala
The Kiss Of Babylon
Of Temptation
Birth Of The Tree
Halo Dies
Amen
Norra El Norra
Ornaments Of Gold
And then it was time for the highlight of the evening: Ensiferum rocked the house. And when I say: they rocked, they I mean: they rocked. The Bluebox was burning. The guys started with „White Storm“, „Tales of Revenge“ and „Dragonheads”. The audience began to move and so it began to get hot in the venue.

Much too early, as the audience thought. Of course Ensiferum were not allowed to leave the stage without at least one further song. „Battle Song“ was the least they had to play then. An absolutely cool evening which left me over and over all in a sweat. I think this should explain everything about this event.
Setlist: (as far as I know )
White Storm
Tale Of Revenge
Dragonheads
Windrider
Warrior`s Quest
Treacherous God
Hero In A Dream
